2 x 4 Thunderbolt Audio Interface
The Universal Audio Arrow Thunderbolt Interface is a groundbreaking desktop device that offers exceptional audio conversion, with two Unison microphone preamps and a host of built-in effects. The parts have premium quality and together with the specially developed Universal Audio technology ensure optimal sound quality, with sample rates of up to 24-bit / 192 kHz when it comes to sound conversion. The 2 x 4 configuration is Thunderbolt 3-powered so you can record vocal and guitar recordings with almost no waiting time. It also lets you apply classic UAD plug-ins, regardless of your software cache settings. The device’s premium interface comes with UAD Realtime Analog Classics plugins, a package consisting of premium studio compressors, EQs, reverbs, guitar amplifier simulations and more. The result is studio quality footage every time.
Unison microphone preamp & guitar amplifier simulations
At the heart of Universal Audio Arrow is UA’s Unison technology, designed to mimic the tone and feel of some of the most classic tubes and transformer-based preamps. The diverse collection consists of emulations of microphone preamps from Neve and API, and offers first-class emulation of some of the most sought-after preamps. Arrow also includes guitar amplifier emulations from Fender and Marshall. These emulated guitar amplifiers have their own signature impedance, their own gain-stage sweet spots and their own circuit behavior at the component level. Arrow’s hardware software integration powers this emulation and allows you to record with almost no waiting time using UAD-enabled plugins, regardless of your software buffer settings. Arrows Interface has two combo inputs for both microphones (XLR) and instruments (line). It also has a Hi-Z guitar input on the front for added convenience.
Realtime Analog Classics plugin package
One of the most unique features of the UA Arrow Audio Interface is the built-in UAD processing. The integrated UAD-2 SOLO core processor allows you to monitor and record while using any UAD-powered plugin with almost no latency. The UADs plugin library consists of over 90 titles, from Pultec EQ to Lexicon reverb and more. These are plugins that are highly sought after and used in very famous hits from among others Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Coldplay and more. UA Arrow includes the Realtime Analog Classics plugin package, including delays, reverbs, EQs, compressors, guitar amplifier simulations and more.
Section for measurement & control
At the top of the Interface you will find a number of built-in controls, as well as LED meters so you can overlook your levels. The main integrated screen shows the measurement of two channels at a time for the microphone, line and Hi-Z inputs. The device also has a screen meter for the integrated headphone jack so you can overlook your input sources when recording. The ergonomic design allows you to switch between inputs at the touch of a button, activate the device’s + 48V phantom power, change the Pad on the Interface and even link settings.
Compact desktop design
The compact and portable design fits well in a backpack so you can take UAD processing with you everywhere. This is ideal for musicians who are a lot on the go, and gives you the opportunity to use first-class plugins in project studios or on trips. Arrow Interface is also bus-powered, eliminating the need for a power outlet. The robust frame consists of a metal construction for optimal durability. The device has a brushed metal surface that not only looks elegant, but also helps to prevent scratches and other damage to the surface. The most prominent feature on the top is the large rotary damper that allows you to change the volume, surrounded by an LED meter so you can keep track of your levels.
