FM-based engine with six unique Machines
Building on the design of its predecessor, (the Elektron Model:Samples) Model:Cycles provides unprecedented sound sculpting abilities. The unique and versatile sound palette allows you to utilise a wide range of tones and sounds, thanks to the blend of both percussive and melodic parameters. The six machines refer to the six main buttons labelled from T1 – T6.
Each Machine utilises the powerful digital FM engine to provides a hybrid of both percussion and melodic synth elements. This allows you to create unique, full and varied compositions on the fly. The synth controls are comprised of four core tools, providing the means to take tones and sounds to the very limit. Each sound starts life as something unique, wherever you want to take it is completely up to you and easily achieved using the wide variety of controls.
Integrated 16-step sequencer and velocity-sensitive pads
Unleash your creativity with this six-track sample based groovebox. From studio to stage, the groovebox features onboard controls to put you in the driving seat when it comes to creating rhythms, patterns and loops.
Interact with your sounds in multiple ways by using the velocity-sensitive pads or the built-in sequencer. The 16-step sequencer allows you to create rhythms and patterns on the fly. Incorporate everything from drum loops to experimental percussion and even melodic sounds.
A raver’s dozen
With twelve dedicated knobs in total, Model:Cycles offers a wide range of control at every step. The dedicated knobs allow you to push each Machine to its limit. The results are varied, wild and unique; making them the perfect tool for sound designers. The «Control All» tool allows you to take it to the extreme, applying a parameter throughout every track for in-your-face results.
Lightweight, compact and portable
The compact and lightweight design makes the Model:Cycles one of the most portable grooveboxes available. The plug and play design features class-compliant USB audio 2.0, allowing you to get setup within seconds. Its compact size will easily fit within a backpack making transporting your groovebox a breeze.
It also boasts a range of connectivity for use with external devices including ¼-inch headphone outputs and left/right ¼-inch TRS connections for use with headphones and studio monitors. Also included is MIDI I/O connectivity, so you can use it in conjunction with synths and other MIDI-based gear. Additionally, the unit comes complete with a micro USB cable and a MIDI adapter to get you started straight out of the box.
