The magnetic tape and preamp behaviours that were feature on the RE-201 originally can be accessed on the RE-202 through the saturation control which will provide compression and warmth to the tone, alongside the modulation effect that can be achieved from the Wow & Flutter control. Inspired by a legendary blueprint Designed to accommodate the modern musician, the RE-202 now features twice the delay time as well as a tap tempo control, allowing for pinpoint accuracy when shaping your delay sound. The fourth virtual tape head unlocks five extra sound combinations and unlike the previous model, the RE-202 has a true stereo I/O and selectable operation for guitar and line-level devices. You can also connect external footswitches or expression pedals for additional control, and any dry sounds can be manipulated between the warmer, full tones of the 201 or the clean zero processing signal. This dry signal can also be muted when your in the studio or aiming to run simultaneous effects out of the same set up.
